Knitted Drawstring Bag

I  needed something to carry small knitting materials ,like a tape measurer, sewing needles tapestry needles, etc.
Anyways this is my original design so I hope you enjoy it !!

Worsted weight yarn
Size 8 u.s knitting needles
Tapestry needle
Tape measurer

Abbreviations used :

K2tog : knit two together by inserting you needle into two stitches at the same time and knit
Ss  :      Knit one row ,purl one row

Cast on 30 stitches loosely ( remember the piece will end up being bigger than it looks like when you cast on),and knit in stockinette stitch for 30 rows

Start decreasing as follow :* knit 4 stitches , k2tog ,* ,repeat from * to * across row

Once you finished the last row cut yarn about 18 inches from last row , and thread on tapestry needle
Pass all stitches through needle and pull tight
Sew the sides of the bag together and weave in all ends

Cast on 4 stitches and knit an icord for about 16 in .
There are videos  on youtube for knitting icords

When you are done cut yarn  and thread the stitches on to yarn and pull tight
Go in and out of the bag with icord still on needle and pull tight to even out ends
Tie both ends of the icord together to open and close bag

Done !! Enjoy !
